PROJECT SCOTLAND

Change your Life By Changing the Lives of Others

So what’s it all about?
Project Scotland is all about change. To our country, to our communities, to our environment, to people who need a hand and especially to our volunteers. It was formed by people who think young Scots have a whole lot to offer and a whole lot to gain, if they’re given a chance to do something a little different.
So that’s exactly what this is. A chance for those between the ages of 16 and 25 to change their life and the lives of others.

But how does it work?
If you’re aged between 16 and 25 and resident in Scotland, you can get involved in Project Scotland by taking part in full time volunteering. You can change the environment we live in or make a world of difference to people’s lives. Whatever placement you choose to get involved in, one thing’s for sure- it will change you too!

No really, it will!
Project Scotland is a chance to do something completely different with your life and expand your life choices. To take time to learn things that could help you take the first step towards a job you really want or one you never even dreamed about. To make new friends, to share new experiences, and to find out what you really made of it.

What Will You Do Exactly?
Well apart from learning new things and meeting new people, you could be doing anything from undertaking conservation projects, to supporting disadvantaged young people, to getting involved in sports, arts or new media projects. Each placement will usually last 3 months (some longer) and if all goes well you can go on to do further placements for up to a year. During this time we’ll make sure you are fully supported in your placement, with appropriate training and mentoring support.

Ok, what’s The Catch?
There is none. Not only will we match your skills to an appropriate placement that interests you, in a location that suits you, we’ll even make sure you’re not out of pocket by offering a subsistence allowance and travel expenses. Then once you’ve completed your placement, we may be able to help you to achieve your goals for the future by providing financial help from our personal development fund towards your next step in life.

All Right Then, How Do I Get Involved?
